District 61a is in the heart of Minneapolis, and includes Bryn Mawr, Cedar-Isles-Dean, Downtown, East Isles, Elliot Park, Harrison, Kenwood, Loring Park, Lowry Hill, Lowry Hill East and a portion of Uptown.

How to vote in elections in 2026
Election Days:
- The 2026 primary is August 11th. Katie does not have a primary opponent, but many other important races are at stake.
- The 2026 general election is November 3rd. On this date, you can vote for Katie and all other races in your district.
Vote early and in person
Early voting for the August primary is open now at the Early Vote Center and the Hennepin County Government Center. Learn more here.
Vote by mail
If you plan to vote by mail for the August primary, be sure to mail back your ballot no later than August 4 and use the
Ballot Tracker Tool to ensure your ballot has been accepted and processed.
You can also return the ballot in person before 5pm on Election Day to the:
- Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services at 980 E Hennepin Ave
- Hennepin County Government Center at Skyway Level 300 6th St. S.
